Psychotherapy

There are many different types of psychotherapy/counselling. They are all ways of
helping people to overcome stress, emotional problems, relationship problems or
troublesome habits. What they have in common is that they are all treatments based
on talking to another person and sometimes include written word, tasks, metaphors
and artwork.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapy based on the premise that
how we think, how we feel and how we act all go hand in hand together. Therefore
our thoughts influence our feelings and our behaviour - our feelings influence our
behaviour and our thoughts and our behaviour influences our feelings/emotions and
thoughts. Because they are all interrelated, it is therefore safe to assume that change
in one will influence the others.

And this is what psychotherapy is all about - positive change.

These therapies, when sometimes combined with a detailed understanding of your
own personality type, and combined with, if necessary, hypnotherapy, can provide
significant and lasting positive change in ones life and relationships.
