An important part of therapy is the connection between you and me, since the quality of our rapport can have an influence on how successful we are in our work together. In a nutshell, it is important that you feel comfortable with the therapist that you choose to help you.
A great way for you to get a sense of how I understand your issue, and how we might work together, without any financial cost or obligation
I provide a free 45 minute consultation at my Colgate offices between Horsham and Crawley. You will find me professional, welcoming, relaxed, down-to-earth and easy to talk to. Having met up, there is absolutely no obligation and you will never feel pressured into making an immediate decision with regard therapy.
During the consultation, I can answer any questions that you may have and I can understand more about the matter that you are seeking help with. I will then be able to give you an entirely honest assessment of if I can help you, and the results that you can realistically expect. So, a free consultation is a great way for you to get a sense of how I understand your issue, and how we might work together, without any financial cost or obligation.
If, from our consultation, I feel unable to help, then it is quite likely that I would be able to recommend another style of therapy or therapist that might be more suitable.
Here are some questions that you might like to ask yourself after the consultation:
- Do you feel heard by the therapist?
- Does the therapist seem to understand the issue?
- Has the therapist worked with this sort of issue before?
- How experienced is the therapist?
- Do you feel comfortable with the therapist?
- Does the environment seem welcoming and safe?
